New Single Family Housing Policy Handbook Frequently Asked Questions
Dear Licensed Partner,
The new Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1 from the U.S. Department of Housing (HUD) will become effective for all loans with FHA case number assignment dates on or after September 14, 2015.
To help with the transition, Sun West has created a summary of changes and a list of frequently asked questions related to the new underwriting guidelines. Both the summary and the FAQ provide a quick overview of the upcoming changes but are not all-inclusive.

For additional questions not answered by the FAQ or the summary, please email Sun West’s underwriting scenario desk at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Sun West will continue to honor existing guidelines from Handbook 4155.1 for all loans with FHA case number assignment dates prior to September 14, 2015. If a loan in the current pipeline meets existing 4155.1 guidelines but the case is not yet assigned, please process the case assignment before September 14, 2015 in order to qualify for existing guidelines.
If you have any questions, please contact your Client Relations Manager at (855) OK-SUNWEST or (855) 657-8693.
