Treasuries were nearly unchanged this morning from yesterday’s close as investors await President-elect Donald Trump’s first press conference since winning the presidential election. Trump is expected to discuss his economic policies; his comments today will be heavily followed for any changes to his policy platform.
Today’s economic calendar only consists of last week’s MBA Mortgage applications data, which rose 5.80% versus 0.10% prior, supported by gains in both purchase and refinance activity. Purchase applications rose by 6.10%, the most since the week ended November 18, while the volume of refinance applications increased by 4.40%.
