Today's Blurb Friday, June 3, 2016

Just 2 weeks ahead of the June FOMC meeting, Payrolls rose only by 38k vs. 160k forecast, the smallest amount since September 2010. It sure will be interesting to see what's the Fed's take on this data as Governor Brainard is scheduled to speak on economic outlook and monetary policy today at 09:30 AM (PT), and Chair Yellen speaks in Philadelphia on Monday at 09:30 AM (PT). In contrast, the Unemployment Rate fell to 4.70% vs. 4.90% consensus. Also, US imports increased 2.10% whereas exports rose 1.50% which led the gap between imports and exports to increase to $37.40 Billion in April, smaller than forecast of $41.00 Billion. The curve has bull steepened with 2s10s up 0.20%.
Have A Wonderful Weekend!
